The LEVEL MINNOW PLUS is a mid-runner model designed to trace in the 2m range. With the exceptional capabilities of the LEVEL MINNOW series, it allows the angler to reach down a little further. While the original LEVEL MINNOW has a maximum dive depth of 1.5m (+α), the LEVEL MINNOW PLUS can trace one level below at 2m (+α). This is known to be the golden range to get bites. You would think this sort of jerkbait would exist, so the arrival of the LEVEL MINNOW PLUS is a welcome addition to attack the golden depth range.

For example, in extremely cold months when the feeding window is small and getting fish up in the higher columns is tough, you’ll bites by pushing the lure directly through the strike zone.

※ For a deeper dive, use fluorocarbon line. By using a high-density line, the line will sink, and the lure can be pulled downward. The LEVEL MINNOW series is tuned as slow-floating but can be adjusted with a weighted sticker for a deeper dive and dead-slow floating. By placing the weighted sticker near the front of the body, it leans forward and dives deeper. The weight of the sticker changes with water temperature and condition and line width, so please adjust accordingly.

※ In getting bites in the extreme cold, a “pause” is crucial to getting fish interested. The trick is to be intentional from the initial cast to pickup of the lure, by “getting attention” like a worm and then “getting the fish closer to the lure (wait)”.

Like the original LEVEL MINNOW, the magnet weight transfer system allows long distance casts. By feeling the weight of the lure on takeback and then releasing, it creates a stable flight posture and adds distance. Like the original, its swimming action is tight and fast moving. Designed to trace at a deeper range than the original, additional strength was added to deal with higher water pressure.

※ Please tune all of your lures, so that it swims straight. If it swims left, slowly adjust the line eye to the right. If it swims right, turn the eye left. When bending the line eye, use plyers and turn it little by little.
